A boy with fairy light stars,
Their shades casting rainbows on his cheeks.
Softly snoring after drifting to a new world on my couch.
My heart could burst from my chest.

My life doesn’t lack love
My heart bursts; fireworks springing from the depths.

Lacking any real connection or closeness.
I used to think perhaps this lacking was romantic then sexual then intellectual.
Now I realize it’s just lacking.
